New mineral terminal in Guaymas, Sonora
-50 million pesos will be invested in its construction and will generate over 130 directs and indirects jobs
-will move over 300 thousand tones of ore per year General Coordination of Ports and MerchaNT Marine (CGPMM),through Administracion Portuaria Integral de Guaymas (API), awarded today the construction and operation of the new terminal of minerals to the company Cortez Trasnfert, S. SRL, subsidiary of Dune Company’s corporate.
This company was the winner of the contest convoked by the SCT, through the API, published last June 11, in the official federation journal
The terminal will have capacity to handle over 300 thousand tones of ore per year and will have an area of 10 000 square meters inside the port are.
There will be approximately 50 million pesos invested in its construction and will benefit the Sonoran port community with the generation of 130 directs and indirects jobs.
The ports facilities will have a dome with room for 30 000 tones of bulk mineral, as well as a storage warehouse of 10 000 tones capacity for packaged and inorganic.
The new infrastructure will receive ships between 10 and 20 thousands tons of cargo, it will be able to serve the USA market such as Arizona, New Mexico and California, and also Sonora, Sinaloa, Chihuahua , Durango, Zacatecas, Baja California and Baja California Sur.
The construction of this new terminal is added to the actions that the SCT is doing on benefit of the economic development of the region and the creation of new sources of employment
